Payson Canyon, Utah

At the South End of Utah County, Payson Canyon marks the beginning of the Nebo Loop Scenic Byway, which climbs to 9000 ft. (2700 m),
and passes Mt. Nebo, the highest peak in the Wasatch range at almost 12000 ft. (3600 m). These maples are by aptly named Maple Lake.

If I had to pick one season to live the rest of my life in, it would be autumn, and this view embodies the essence of the season for me. A short distance up the canyon from this spot, Grotto Falls is an easy and delightful hike. On the opposite side of Maple Lake, another autumn scene with a different feel can be found. - Martin van Hemert
