White Pocket, Arizona

Located in the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument in northern Arizona, White Pocket is a twisted area of layered rock, somewhat similar to The Wave, which is north of this location.
It is theorized that these sedimentary layers were once under shallow water, where they were contorted into the shapes you see here.

White Pocket is somewhat difficult to reach due to roads with deep sand, which require 4WD and high clearance. - Martin van Hemert
