Horseshoe Bend, AZ

Horseshoe Bend in Arizona, is a famous meander along the Colorado River, just a few miles south of the Utah border and the town of Page Arizona. The Colorado River flows 1000 ft. below this overlook on its way to the Grand Canyon a few more miles downstream.

This panorama was captured when the setting sun was almost completely gone, revealing the night sky above. Horseshoe bend is an easy 3/4 mile hike from US Route 89. - Martin van Hemert
